Sessions take place within the hour prior to sunset, known as Golden Hour, because the sun is a beautiful warm, golden color providing the most flattering light. Planning sessions at this time can also allow for us to shoot a little into Blue Hour, which is an especially magical time at the beach that often turns the sky gorgeous shades of blue and purple.
On rare occasions, and in specific locations, I can schedule a session at a time other than Golden Hour, but the lighting will not be ideal and does not reflect the work you see in my portfolio.
A 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract is due at time of booking to secure your session.
Beyond the initial 50% non-refundable retainer, the remaining 50% can be broken up into 2 payments as long as you book at least one month in advance. The final payment is due 3 days prior to your session.
Many things factor into what you should wear - session location, your comfort, my editing style, and your home decor palette. To help you navigate everything, I provide wardrobe styling assistance with all my packages. After you fill out my styling questionnaire, I can help with everything from styling you head to toe (includes style boards & purchasing links) to helping you choose from your existing wardrobe. Certain colors are ideal with my editing style and I will help you choose a color palette that complements my style, as well as your personal taste.
Yes! Extended family session packages are customized specifically to your family. Number of people and desired types of photos (ie. one whole family portrait vs. multiple portrait combos of family members) will be taken into consideration when creating your package. Pricing starts at $550.
